5 Jul 2006 - Weser School Swimming Gala

Action from one of the nail biting races.
Weser School hosted an inter school swimming gala as swimming is part of the PE core activities. Children from years four, five and six from Weser School and Sir John Mogg School from Detmold participated in a fantastic afternoon. The gala was held at the Einseidlerbad Hameln.

There were individual races and relays which were all very close. Weser School came out on top but children from both schools learnt a lot about competition and sporting etiquette. Children from both schools cheered all competitors and the afternoon ended with a fun splash. The leader of the SCE primary schools Advisory Teachers for PE was very impressed with the standard of swimming and sporting behaviour. We hope to have a bigger event again next year.
